The Secursat SX1 is a breakthrough in satellite-based asset monitoring and locating technology. Using a Low Earth Orbit (LEO)  satellite network, the Secursat SX1 provides GPS locations and event notification from a remote asset from almost anywhere on the globe. Ideal for low volume messaging with mission critical data, the Secursat SX1 provides private, commercial, and government customers, with the most cost-effective satellite solution available. Designed for mobile applications it provides tracking for a number of applications from inter-modal shipping containers and trailers, to buoys, barges and Yachts.

The Secursat SX1 carries the highest environmental ratings available for any satellite or terrestrial tracking device, recently receiving HERO (Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance) Certification and meeting or exceeding 16 methods within the MIL-STD 810F requirements, making it the most rugged satellite tracking device available today. Its compact size makes it ideal for almost any asset  and makes mounting it simple since it is only 7.25 x 3.25 x 1 inch (184 x 83 x 25 mm) and weighs only 13 ounces (369 g).

Reliability, Expansion, Integration

The pinpoint accuracy of the Secursat SX1 GPS receiver and satellite communications provides more reliable tracking of remote assets than cellular systems or proximity RFID tags because it communicates via satellite thus extending its range far beyond any land based network.

For expansion, the functionality of the Secursat SX1 is enhanced with a USB port which can provide additional capabilities to meet the demands of application specific sensors. The internal motion sensor and event alarms help customers manage thigh-value assets .The open architecture allows complete and secure data integration and is compatible with virtually any legacy supply chain, logistics or tracking application.

Secursat's satellite communications provide nearly global coverage and the most cost-effective solution available for monitoring assets from continent to continent, across urban and remote areas, or at sea. LEO satellite communications offer substantial benefits over Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites. including lower longer battery life, reduced latency, less shadowing from buildings, stacked containers, etc. and, more importantly the redundancy and increased reliability of a network compared with a single satellite. Total Asset Visibility

The Secursat SX1 with its associated satellite network offering and web-based mapping and asset management software allows customers to view the location and status of any asset from any internet connection worldwide. The web-based solution requires no downloads and provides mapping, display, and management tools for one or thousands of assets.
